A closed door with motivational words promoting bravery and the chance for opportunity behind paths that appear blocked.

Each of us has come nose to nose with a closed door at some point in our lives. We’re immediately met with a sense of disappointment, especially when our expectations were high. That disappointment often stems from the idea of “having skin in the game” — of taking ownership of something. When things don’t unfold the way we expect, that’s when we shake hands with disappointment. However, I’m reminded of the idea of “selling yourself” and being bold. What’s the worst that can happen if you respectfully ask why — whether it’s to yourself, your superiors, or even God? Maybe it’s just a matter of timing. Who knows… unless we ask? By asking, you’re showing that this matters to you — and more people are willing to get behind something that carries passion and conviction than something half-formed. So kick out the anxious thoughts, and believe in yourself and your vision!
